(With video) Have you ever wanted to travel through the New Suez Canal? Follow Maersk's Adrian Maersk through the 163 km canal in just three minutes.

At the beginning of this month, the new Suez Canal in Egypt was officially opened. The € 7.2 billion project forms an alternative route for parts of the existing canal. The new canal is wider with less turns allowing bigger ships to pass each other. The extension increases the canal's capacity from 49 to 97 ships per day. The project was completed in a year.
