Royal Boskalis Westminster and VolkerWessels have been awarded a contract by Veja Mate Offshore Project GmbH for the design, procurement, fabrication, supply, transportation, installation and testing of sixty seven foundations for the Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm in the German section of the North Sea.
The contract carries a value of approximately EUR 500 million, Boskalis and VolkerWessels each have a fifty per cent share.
Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm
The Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm is located 130 kilometres north of Eemshaven and will generate a total capacity of 400 MW. The project will commence at the end of 2015 and completion of the project is expected in the fourth quarter of 2016.
