The registration for Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) is now open. The 2015 edition expects over 13,500 offshore professionals and more than 650 exhibiting companies.
Next to the exhibition, more than eighty speakers, representing some of the biggest players in the offshore energy industry, will feature at the conference. With this year’s theme: "Investing in the Future of Energy", the conference has all the ingredients for a leading international event covering all facets of the offshore energy industry.
Adapting to Changes
History teaches us that the oil, gas, and energy industry has always shown great resilience. Oil prices have rarely been stable for long periods of time, and it is remarkable how the industry has maintained its ability to adapt to changes and developments. The Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference 2015 offers insight into these potential changes, tapping into and creating new ideas.
Technical Data Management
A new and current theme during Offshore Energy is Technical Data Management. In this session, lead by Michael Nord from Shell, the effects of poor data quality and how improving data management can lead to reduced costs and better informed business decisions in the offshore oil and gas industry will be discussed.
Drilling and Marine Energy
For the first time, HPHT drilling will take part with a technical session on the developments in high-pressure, high temperature drilling operations. Operators are investing in this challenging new game which is generally seen as offering new potential.
Because new and alternative energy sources could still lead to great corporate opportunities, they will again be explored in this year’s programme. The focus will specifically be on the developments of marine energy and the extensive possibilities to produce substantial amounts of renewable energy.
Other topics include well intervention vessels best practices and new vessel designs, the role of technological innovation in new business models as part of cost reductions, export control in oil & gas, decommissioning and subsea processing.
Panel Discussions
Next to the Technical Sessions OEEC offers three special Keynotes where panels from the industry discuss human resources challenges, oil and gas financials and the industry as a whole. These Keynotes are free to attend.
Offshore Wind 2015
Meanwhile, this year’s event has been extended to include a one day Offshore WIND Conference (OWC). This will take place on Monday 12 October, a day prior to OEEC, in the RAI Amsterdam. With the theme “Building an Industry without Borders” Offshore Wind 2015 hopes to not only break down the barriers in legislation, but also the mental barriers, discovering how people can promote the growth of the industry. Anyone registering for the Offshore WIND Conference receives automatic access to the Offshore Energy Exhibition.
