Conquest Offshore, with the engineering of Temporary Works Design (TWD) and Barge Master, has presented an efficient installation system for monopiles (MPs), transition pieces (TPs) and pre-piling of jackets.
Conquest MB1
The 136 by 36 metre Conquest MB1 barge can store three MPs or up to sixteen TPs on deck by the effective skidding system. Upending can be done on deck or floating.
The floating installation of the MPs is done by using the specially designed motion compensated pile gripper (MCPG). While hammering the pile, hydraulic cylinders actively compensate the surge, sway and heave motions of the barge to ensure the verticality within limits.
