(With link to time lapse video) Work is in progress to complete the last operations before the departure of the Costa Concordia from Giglio Island, planned for tomorrow, Wednesday 23 July.

At present, the Costa Concordia has a draft of approximately 18 metres and technicians have to lower the last starboard sponson (S14). Welding is also in progress to position the bollards needed for the arrival of the ship in the port of Genoa.
