(With video) This year’s theme at the Underwater Technology Conference (UTC) is "Subsea – Facing New Realities". The 2014 edition is also the first that has invited students to give presentations.
The theme was chosen to give visitors the sense of urgency required to get in mode for change. Following on this, the subtheme "Market and technology complexity, inspiring industry collaboration" is meant as an enabler.
The technical programme is designed to share important developments and learnings within the different phases of technological and subsea field lifespan from qualification to lifetime extension and to agree on specifications and standards.
Student Participation
For the first time, UTC has invited Master and PhD students from all parts of the world to deliver abstracts for consideration in the field of subsea technology. The best student presentations will be included in the technical presentations at the conference.
The featured students are included in the conference programme, receive complimentary conference fee, and flight and hotel accommodation for the duration of the conference.
UTC 2014 takes place 18-19 June in Bergen, Norway.
