On 8 May, the Dutch maritime industry says goodbye to the Holland Shipbuilding Association (Scheepsbouw Nederland), "Vereniging HME", VNSI, CMTI, HME BV, HME Singapore and Maritime by Holland and welcomes the new Netherlands Maritime Technology.

Netherlands Maritime Technology will be launched at the Holland Shipbuilding Association's public Member Meeting tomorrow, 8 May. At the meeting the annual figures of the Dutch maritime industry will also be presented and there will be presentations centred around the theme "Market Introduction and Innovation".   

From Eight Brands to One Identity

As of 9 May, all trade organisations, companies and foundation will communicate under one name: Netherlands Maritime Technology. The new name creates clarity, further synergy and better suits the members' technological and innovative character.

Netherlands Maritime Technology replaces the following brands: Scheepsbouw Nederland, Holland Shipbuilding Association, Vereniging Holland Marine Equipment, VNSI, CMTI, HME BV and HME Singapore. In addiiton, the international branding Maritime by Holland will also be replaced by Netherlands Maritime Technology.

Annual Figures 2013

Chairman ir. J.J.C.M. van Dooremalen will present the annual figures 2013. The document offers silver linings: the Dutch shipbuilding industry and maritime suppliers have done well in 2013. And the outlook is positive; the order book has increased significantly. The annual report will be handed out at the end of the meeting.

Market Introduction and Innovation

The meeting further focuses on "Market Introduction and Innovation". Innovation is the Dutch maritime industry's engine. Keynote speaker is Commander of the Royal Netherlands Navy Vice Admiral M.J.M. Borsboom.
