Although Wagenborg has experience towing many types of objects and cargo, last week a special project took place: towing a wooden ark from Lübeck to Rostock, Germany.

Recently, the ark was positioned in the port of Lübeck as Noah’s Ark. This ark is Europe’s first floating bible theme park. The ark, measuring 70 meters in length, 10 meters in width and 13 meters in height, exists of four floors.

After being in Lübeck for over a month, the ark continued its European journey on 17 January. With the assistance of two tugs, including Wagenborg's Watergeus, the ark was towed down the river Trave to the Baltic Sea and its final destination: the port of Rostock.
