Vroon has taken delivery of MV Ganado Express, the second of four livestock carriers being constructed at the Cosco Shipyard in Guangdong for the shipping company.
The remaining two vessels are scheduled for delivery early in 2014.
Next Generation Livestock Vessels
These livestock carriers are “next generation” livestock vessels, boasting a cargo capacity of approximately 4500 sqm and a cruising range of around 18,000 NM. They are fitted with animal-welfare facilities exceeding Australian (AMSA) regulations and incorporate a revolutionary bow design that ensures maximum comfort for cargo and crew, and fuel savings, while maintaining high speeds.
Ganado Express has now left the shipyard and will operate for Austrex.
