(With video) Atwood Oceanics has taken delivery of deepwater drillship the Atwood Advantage from the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) shipyard in South Korea.
The Atwood Advantage has departed from the DSME shipyard and commenced its drilling services contract with Noble Energy. Following its mobilisation to the US Gulf of Mexico, the Atwood Advantage will conduct a three year drilling programme with Noble Energy.
The Atwood Advantage is Atwood Oceanic’s first of four A-Class ultra-deepwater drillships that are being built at DSME.
