Officially ranked as the largest private yacht in the world, the 180 m Azzam has now been delivered to its owner.
Lurssen Yachts launched the Azzam in April after which trials and final detailing were performed.
Diesel Engines and Gas Turbines
Apart from its scale, the vessel’s design, sophisticated facilities and complex technical specification set a benchmark in superyachting. The Azzam is powered by a combination of twin diesel engines and gas turbines, for a speed of over 30 knots.
Technical engineering was developed by Lurssen, with exterior design by Nauta Yachts and interior design by Christophe Leoni. Burgess Technical Services was appointed as the owner’s technical consultants and project managers.
