(With video) This Monday, Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and the Environment, Melanie Schultz van Haegen officially opened Europort. The video accompanying this news post gives an impression of the first day of one of the largest maritime exhibitions worldwide.
Europort takes place 5 to 8 November in Ahoy, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This year's theme is Pioneers in Maritime Technology.
'Level Playing Field for Shipping'
During the opening, Minister Schultz called for sustained innovation and an ‘international level playing field for shipping’ on environmental regulation. About 300 delegates from the global maritime and offshore business leaders attended the opening of Europort 2013.
