From eleven entries the KNVTS Ship of the Year Award 2013 jury has selected three nominees.
The nominees are (in random order):
- Hopper dredger Reimerswaal, Scheepswerf Gebr. Kooiman
- Pilot station vessel Polaris, Barkmeijer Stroobos
- Inland tanker Greenstream, Peters Shipyards
This year, the award will be presented for the sixteenth time. The award ceremony takes place 31 October at the Maritime Awards Gala in De Broodfabriek in Rijswijk, the Netherlands.
KNVTS Ship of the Year Award 2013
The KNVTS Ship of the Year Award is an award for the most innovative ship. Ships that can be nominated have to designed and (largely) built in the Netherlands and have to have been delivered between 1 May 2012 and 1 May 2013. The jury judges the entries on design, economy, sustainability, safety and building process.
