(With video) In the coming seven years, the Dutch water industry will have 40,000 vacancies. To remain a market leader, this problem must be solved.
Recently, companies in the maritime, delta and water technology industry signed an agreement called the Techniekpact. Together they will work towards solving the technical staff shortage. The first concrete result: 150 scholarships for students.
Picture: Minister Kamp of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs visited "water companies" Boskalis and Damen Shipyards (where this picture was taken) on 8 july. He also presented the first scholarships to students (by the Dutch government).
The video below (in Dutch) shows Minister Kamp's visit to the water companies.
