In June, SWZ Maritime's regular section "Maand Maritiem" reported on the launch of the Seven Waves and the delivery of the DP Gezina and the Aquarius-G. SWZ Maritime editor was present at the ceremonies and made the pictures in the accompanying photo album.
On 3 May IHC Merwede launched the Seven Waves which is being built for Subsea 7. It is the fifth ship IHC builds for Subsea 7 after the Seven Oceans, Seven Seas, Seven Atlantic and Seven Pacific. SWZ Maritime editor Gerrit de Boer visited the launch, the pictures of which have been posted in the photo album.
Delivery of the DP Gezina
In May Holland Shipyards delivered the DP Gezina to Chevalier Floatels. The DP Gezina used to be a ferry, but was converted into an offshore support vessel.
Delivery of the Aquarius-G
In Scheveningen on 1 May, the second Seismic Research Support Vessel (SRSV), the Aquarius-G, was christened for Rederij Groen. The first SRSV, the Astra-G, was delivered by Maaskant Shipyards in March.
