Advanced technology and innovative concepts are essential to remain in the lead in the maritime market. Europort 2013 is the meeting place for pioneers in maritime technology.

From 5 to 8 November 2013, more than 1000 exhibitors will present their solutions for the future in Ahoy Rotterdam. Maritime professionals from all over the world will visit the exhibition for innovative technology, smart solutions and complex shipbuilding. Europort's 2013 theme is Pioneers in Maritime Technology.

Follow-Up of Advanced Technology

Raymond Siliakus, Exhibition Manager of Europort: 'The slogan ‘Pioneers in Maritime Technology’ goes further along the path set upon by the theme "Advanced Technology" which was the campaign slogan the last two editions of Europort. In this way we carry on building on a strengthening position of Europort as an international leading platform for maritime technology.'

FCS Esnaad 711

The ship used in the campaign image is the Fast Crew Supplier 5009 Esnaad 711, an offshore vessel built by Damen Shipyards that is used as a crewing and supply ship as well as safety standby vessel. On this fifty metre long vessel an axe bow concept has been adopted as well as a number of other innovations that optimise the availability of the ship and lower its power consumption. The ship literally bursts through the radar.

Innovations Centre Stage in Conference Programme

Europort offers an extensive conference programme. The core themes are topics such as cost efficiency, sustainability and human capital. The programme will also focus on the upgrading of ships, limitation of emission and fuel consumption, use of LNG and safety concepts. It will also deal with financing models, product life-cycle management and cost of ownership.

Europort will once again organise the Advanced Technology Conferences in collaboration with HME (Holland Marine Equipment). Leading market players will present innovative examples of advanced technology that will be applied to build the most complex ships on earth.

Green Route

The success of the Green Route from 2009 and 2011 will have a follow-up in 2013. Visitors are led along a route of exhibitors who make demonstrable contributions to reducing environmental burdens.

Participation to the green route is free of charge to all exhibitors in Europort 2013. Applications will be subject to approval by an independent jury formed by Platform Clean Shipping. Partners in the platform are Holland Shipbuilding Association, Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (Marin), Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), North Sea Foundation, Port of Rotterdam and Royal Association of Netherlands‘ Ship owners.

Floor Plan Online

Following the launch of the central theme, the floor plan of Europort 2013 is published on www.europort.nl on the first of September.
