As of 1 May Peter Zoeteman (52) is the new general manager of the Holland Shipbuilding Association. He succeeds Mieke Bakker-Mantjes who filled the position from September 2011 to April 2013.
Due to disagreements on the course of the organisation, Bakker-Bantjes decided not to renew her contract that ends this month. The association has now found a successor in Zoeteman who has much experience in the maritime industry and was part of the association's management up to 2012.
From 2004 to 2012 zoeteman was general manager of Alfa Laval Aalborg Industries in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. In this position he was also a member of the board of HME and the Holland Shipbuilding Association. In additions he chaired the Export commission and participated in several innovation projects. Up to 2003 he worked at Wärtsilä.
