The Race of the Classics is the largest student sailing event in Europe. Teams of students of different universities and academies sail against each other with classic sailing ships. SWZ Maritime editor Hugo Dill went to the Veerhaven to make pictures of the ships gathering for the race.
The 25th edition of the Race of the Classics is currently underway and ends 7 April. The ships started out at the Veerhaven in Rotterdam, set out to the coast of England and will finish in Amsterdam.
