(With video) Everyone who docks at a port wants guaranteed continuity and maximal (un)loading per hour, despite weather conditions. This is why the Port of Rotterdam is now supporting the use of ShoreTension.
ShoreTension holds ships stable while docked and prevents ropes from breaking and ships becoming adrift. This also protects port infrastructure and loading equipment, such as cranes.
Sponsorship
The Port of Rotterdam supports the use of the ShoreTension system through providing a € 300,000 sponsorship. Terminal operators can apply for this sponsoring. The Port of Rotterdam gives up to ten per cent discount on the purchase price of the system.
For more information, please visit the Port of Rotterdam website (in Dutch only).
