In December, Princess Máxima christened Anthony Veder's dual-fuel ice class 1A LNG carrier, the Coral Energy. SWZ Maritime editor Gerrit de Boer was present and made pictures, which we now publish on SWZonline.

The ship was christened at the Cruiseterminal Rotterdam. Apart from the Princess, the ceremony was attended by Jan Valkier (ceo Anthony Veder), Carel van den Driest (Board of Directors Anthony Veder), Bernard Meyer (Managing Partner Meyer Werft) and Bjørn Torkildsen (Managing Director Skangass). The Coral Energy left for its first voyage to Skangass's LNG terminal at Risavika near Stavanger on 3 January. For a more extensive report, read Maand Maritiem in SWZ Maritime's January issue.

Below a photoalbum with pictures of the naming and christening ceremony by SWZ Maritime editor Gerrit de Boer (please click the little squares below the pictures to watch the pictures in their proper dimensions) and three videos of the Coral Energy. This first video was published by Anthony Veder, the second is a report of the naming ceremony by RTV Rijnmond and the third was published by Skangass.
