With 820 maritime professionals attending, the seventh edition of the Maritime Awards Gala will be the largest edition yet. The event, that is now completely sold out, takes place 8 November 2012 at the Cruise Terminal Rotterdam.
Just like last year, the gala will be presented by Anita Witzier. The Dutch Minister Schultz van Haegen (Infrastructure & the Environment) will present the four maritime awards: the VNSI Wim Timmersprijs, the HME Maritime Innovation Award, the KVNR Shipping Award and the KNVTS Ship of the Year award.

Over forty organisations attend the gala, an overview of the participating companies can be found here. Apart from participating with a sponsor table, it is also possible to attend the gala individually, but these seats have now been sold out as well.

The Maritime Awards Gala is organised by the Maritime Awards Foundation (“Stichting Maritieme Prijzen”) which represents the Holland Shipbuilding Association, the KVNR, KNVTS, NISS and HISWA. The main sponsors of the Maritime Awards Gala 2012 are IHC Merwede, Damen Shipyards, NNPC, Imtech Marine Netherlands, Wärtsilä Netherlands and Stichting Nederland Maritiem Land.
Maritime Week
During the Maritime Awards Gala the kick off takes place of the second edition of the Maritime Week. From 8 to 17 November Dutch maritime industry is placed in the spotlights.
