The new website https://www.sss2025.eu[sss2025.eu] provides insight into maritime industry’s expectations for the short sea ship of the future. The website of the European project Short Sea Ship of the Future was launched last week.
In the project, short sea ships are defined as ‘all commercial ships operating within the 200 mile zone’.
Eco-Triangle
The new website contains the project’s progress, research and analyses. It provides insight into trends and gives background information. The short sea ship of the future is viewed from three perspectives: economy, ecology and technology. These three perspectives form an Eco-triangle as can be seen in the accompanying picture.
Give Your Opinion
The interactive website offers the possibility of giving feedback on different technical designs. This feedback will be used to judge which designs are most likely to become reality. In addition, you can leave questions or remarks.
