In addition to https://www.swzonline.nl/nieuws/artikel/1136_Dockwise_Increases_Holdings_in_Fairstar[our news item earlier this week], Dockwise has increased its holdings in Fairstar Heavy Transport even further. Through acquiring approximately 13.2% new shares from ODIN and certain other shareholders, the company now owns 93.63%. Dockwise has also requested the Rotterdam court for authorisation to convene an extraordinary shareholders meeting of Fairstar Heavy Transport NV.
Through its wholly-owned subsidiary Dockwise White Marlin BV, Dockwise already added 20 per cent to its existing holdings in Fairstar of 60.4 per cent earlier this week.
Shareholders Meeting
Although Dockwise has on various occasions proposed to Fairstar to discuss the appointment of three new and independent Supervisory Board members, Fairstar has consistently rejected this proposal and refused to meet with the proposed candidates. As a result of Fairstar’s unwillingness, Dockwise has now made the request to the court. However, Dockwise has urged Fairstar again to reconsider its position, also in view of the current shareholding of Dockwise.
