This year, the Maritime Innovation Award will be presented for the eleventh time. Every Dutch company that has recently delivered a new innovative product, service or process for maritime industry, can now submit their entry.
The Vereniging Holland Marine Equipment (HME) created the Maritime Innovation Award to put the innovative strength of the maritime and offshore suppliers in the spotlight and to stimulate innovative developments. The award will be presented during the Maritime Awards Gala 2012 on 8 November in Rotterdam.
Award Criteria
To enter for the award, the product, service or process must be applied in practice, sold at least once to a relevant party and has to comply with the following criteria:
– Widely applicable in all of the maritime industry
– Easy to sell
– Export potential
Minimum requirement for every entry is that it has demonstrable added value for the Netherlands.
Shortlist
The jury consists of nine prominent experts from shipping industry, shipbuilding, maritime services, offshore and maritime research. Early September, they will present a shortlist of nominees.
