Gerard Deen, owner of G.C.M. Deen Shipping and LNG tanker the Argonon, has been awarded the distinction Havenman 2011 (“port man of the year”). The award, presented by the independent Havenman of the Year foundation, was presented to Gerard Deen for his involvement in the design and building of LNG tanker the Argonon, the first inland vessel able to sail on LNG (80 per cent) and diesel oil (20 per cent).
