In celebration of their half lustrum, the study association S.G. William Froude will organise a grand symposium. The symposium will take place on the 13th of May in congress centre De Doelen in Rotterdam. The subjects who will be processed during the day are caught in the following theme: “The Whole Nine Yards – On Stage Ship Configuration”.
“The whole nine yards” is a synonym for “the whole package” but also for “strain every nerve”. Our industry is characterized by a high degree of synergy between the several companies. This is a must, in order to maintain a prominent position as a maritime country.
Innovations and Developments
During the day, a certain ship type will be a guide for the lectures and will create a high degree of consistency. The speakers will explain their vision on what the innovations, developments and or possibilities for a certain aspect of the ship will be. There will be a focus on technical developments and research. In this way, the end result will be tangible, and it will be discussed by means of a discussion panel at the end of the day.
