On Wednesday 20 April 2011, the Navingo Maritime and Offshore Career Event celebrates its 5th anniversary. Once again, the event takes place at the Beurs-WTC in Rotterdam.
The event is the only trade fair that focusses on career, training and education in maritime and offshore industry in the Netherlands. Over the years, the trade fair has become the third largest career event in the Netherlands. Apart from celebrating its 5th anniversary, the event will also focus on the recovery of the maritime job market.
Recovering Job Market Raises Expectations
Between 125 and 150 companies are expected to present themselves and/or their training and educational facilities. Visitors consist of students from all levels of education, graduates and (young) professionals studying or looking for a job in maritime industry. The expectations are high as the job market is recovering. Employers expect to have more vacancies in 2011, which is reflected by the number of pre-registrations for the event.
