Contest Yachts will launch the Contest 57CS and 50CS at the HISWA Amsterdam in-water Boat Show in September. The designs of these new performance cruisers show the yacht builder from Medemblik is proactively responding to market and owner demands.
With their flush decks and low integrated superstructures, both yachts have a modern and elegant appearance. Wide windows create a pleasant atmosphere below deck. On deck the spacious cockpit has twin steering positions and offers easy passage to the interior. One of the many optional features is an integrated swimming platform.
Well-balanced
The hulls were built in a sandwich construction using a vacuum injection method that results in lighter and stronger vessels compared to the traditional hand lay-up method. In addition, the Contest 57CS has modern rigging in which the gennaker or code zero can easily be set on the bowsprit. The 57CS sleeps eight people, the 50CS six, but both can be sailed singlehandedly.
Flexible Layout
Both ships offer several interior options in which the layout and materials were inspired by the new styling developed by the yard several years ago. Key features are light, space and comfort. The number of sleeping berths is flexible in both yachts. The standard design has a large galley and spacious seating area. All designs include at least two toilets and bathrooms.
HISWA Amsterdam in-water Boat Show 2010
Both yachts will be presented at the HISWA Amsterdam in-water Boat Show 2010, which takes place from 31 August to 5 September in Marina Seaport IJmuiden.
