IHC Merwede’s revenue increased to €1.13 billion in 2009 (€1.09 billion in 2008), with a net profit of €57 million (€76 million in 2008) over the same period.
This record turnover was backed by a €1.8 billion order book at the end of 2008. The reduced level of profit compared to last year is predominantly explained by operational issues during the construction of a large custom-built vessel. The overall picture is one of a company in good financial health.
