In light of the 100th jubilee of Royal Boskalis Westminster Her Majesty the Queen will officiate at the christening and launch of trailing suction hopper dredger Willem van Oranje.
The ceremony takes place on Wednesday 10 February 2010. Royal Boskalis Westminster has the vessel built at the IHC Merwede yard in Kinderdijk, the Netherlands.

The dredger has a length of 137m, a beam of 28m and a loading capacity of 12.000m³. It will be launched immediately after the christening ceremony and then docked along the quay for further final construction. The vessel will be commissioned in late 2010 and deployed on major dredging projects worldwide.
