Member of Dutch Parliament Ineke Dezentjé Hamming presented this year’s VNSI-Timmersprijs to Albert de Krijger. He received the award for his innovative simulation model.
Albert de Krijger designed a simulation package combining three different elements: ship hydrodynamics, multibody dynamics and ground mechanics. The programme AnySimPro created by MARIN was used for the ship hydrodynamics. Through an interface Albert coupled this programme with a ground mechancis programme and multibody dynamics programme of his own design. In so doing he created an efficient design tool.

Nominated
Peter de Vos was also nominated for the award. He created a new model for a diesel converter and heat exchange. Both of which can be used in a propulsion system’s design process.
