The Doña Angela Maria T. (picture) has been chosen KNVTS Ship of the Year 2009. The award was presented to designer Damen Shipyards yesterday at the Maritime Awards Gala. Koninklijke De Vries’ Predator and Scheepswerf De Haas’ RWS 70 were also nominated.
The Doña Angela Maria T. is a fast crew supplier designed accoring to the Axe Bow Concept. In addition, other innovative developments have been applied to the ship. The concept has proven to be both a technical and commercial success.

The RWS 70 is a fast patrol ship of a completely new design, versatile and trendsetting. The RWS 70 is the first of ten new vessels for the Dutch Department of Waterways and Public Works. Shipyard De Haas Maassluis will build the vessels.

Koninklijke De Vries has created an innovative ship that complies with the extraordinary stringent design requirements. The design is pioneering in super yachts. The yacht has an impressive style, superior behaviour at sea and is very comfortable in spite of the power installed.
