The request for starting a Holland Marine House Russia in St. Petersburg is approved by the Russian authorities. During the NEVA tradeshow from September 22 till September 25, the official opening will take place. Several Dutch dignitaries and the Russian Minister of Trade and Industries Khristenko will visit the opening ceremony.
Holland Marine House Russia represents the Dutch maritime industries on the Russian market and wants to upgrade the Dutch image in the Russian maritime industry. The office will start with two Russian staff members who will stay in touch with the members of the HMHR frequently.
At the moment there are eight members. Interested companies can still join the HMHR after election through the board.
Focus on Russia
The installation of the HMHR is a part of the three year marketing program Focus on Russia. Within this program HME/Holland Shipbuilding Association works together with IRO, HISWA and the Dutch Maritime Trade Board to look after the interests of the Dutch maritime industries in the Russian market. Focus on Russia is financially supported by the 2g@there program of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. During the first year, all participating companies of the Focus on Russia program, can call for support from the office in St. Petersburg.
