The opening date was revealed yesterday. Although there is still much work to do, managing director Willem Smit was happy a date has finally been decided on. Work is now on its way to complete the ship in time.
The ship will serve as hotel, restaurant, bar and theater. In addition, there are conference rooms, parking spaces and business boardrooms available.
The Rotterdam is the largest ship ever to have been laid down in the Netherlands. The RDM built the ship for the Holland America Line (HAL). The Rotterdam departed on its first journey to New York on 3 September 1959.
