The container ship Enterprise has collided with the ship Frisius, which was moored in the port of Vlissingen-Oost. According to the harbour master, the incident occurred at 4 am.

The container ship was in danger of sinking, but the emergency services kept it afloat. There were no casualties.

The Enterprise had 39 containers on board carrying blocks of zinc. The collision caused a leak. The other ship, an inland vessel, carried gas oil. It got damaged, but there was no leak.

Crane
The fire department immediately turned out to the scene to pump out the Enterprise to prevent it from sinking. A large crane lifted the containers ashore. The emergency services were in command of the situation by 6.30 am.

Shipping traffic did not suffer from the incident. According to the harbour master, inattentiveness caused the collision.
