Den Helder will get a new nautical college. The school will be located behind the Navymuseum, between the Medemblik building and the basin at the old shipyard Oude Rijkswerf Willemsoord.
The Dutch ROC (Regionaal Opleidingscentrum) Kop van Noord-Holland and the Dutch navy expect they will soon sign the multimillion contract.
The college should be ready for the school year 2010/2011 and will house the maritime academy of the ROC and the nautical department of the Dutch-Belgian Operational School.
