Willem Smit has been appointed managing director of De Rotterdam BV, the company responsible for the exploitation of the ss Rotterdam. Smit will focus on commercial activities as well as cultural and social objectives.
Smit has much experience that will help him in his new job. He used to be commercial director for the Koninklijke Schouwburg Den Haag and managing director for the Spant in Bussum. As acting manager at Stage Entertainment he was closely involved with the Theaterfabriek & Convention Factory in Amsterdam.
Hans Elemans remains spokesperson for De Rotterdam BV.
