As a result of the takeover of Flender by Siemens in 2005, Flender Bruinhof Marine in Rotterdam is being integrated into Siemens Netherlands as of February 2009. Bruinhof’s offices and workshops will remain in Rotterdam.
Bruinhof employs about thirty people and supplies, services and maintains gearboxes, clutches and bearings for the marine sector. Hence the company fits in seamlessly with Siemens Netherlands’ increased emphasis on its marine activities, enabling Bruinhof and Siemens to offer customers not only products and solutions, but also service facilities for mechanical and electric drives.
