Thirteen maritime companies have signed up for the Maritime Innovation Award 2008. In September, a jury consisting of ten experts from maritime industry, will present a shortlist of nominees. The winner will receive the Award from Dutch Minister for Economic Affairs Van der Hoeven at the Maritime Awards Gala on 6 November.

• Sea of Solutions: SOC 5000 zware lasten, korte mobilisatie
• SeaVsat: Vsat at Sea, internet onboard
• Verenigde Scheepswerf Heusden: Kantel Inrichting als onderdeel van low budget Panelenstraat
Maritime Awards Gala
The winner is announced at the Maritime Awards Gala on Thursday 6 november at the World Forum in The Hague. Dutch maritime industry has combined five important awards at this gala: de KNVTS-Ship of the Year Award, the HME Maritime Innovation Award, the VNSI Timmersprijs, the HISWA Excellence Award en de KVNR Ocean Shipping Award (Zeescheepvaartprijs).
