Dredging company Boskalis has no further intention of taking over Smit Internationale. Peter Berdowski, chairman of the board of directors, indicated this during the annual shareholders meeting. In addition, he announced a new 70 million euro order.
Boskalis especially wanted to take over Smit’s terminal division, but they are not inclined to sell.
New order
The company has also been awarded a contract to expand Felixstowe’s port (UK). Berdowski expects this project will yield approximately 70 million euros.
