Once again nominations can be entered for the HISWA Excellence Award. Everyone can nominate a person who is or has been very important for Dutch water sports industry. The award, created by the HISWA Association, will be presented during the Maritime Awards Gala.
Maritime manufacturers in the area of yacht building, architecture/design and suppliers who have proven their worth for the industry can all be nominated. Anyone can nominate a person up to 30 June through the nomination form on https://www.hiswa.nl/vereniging[HISWA.nl].
Jury
The jury consists of chairwoman Ineke Dezentjé Hamming (VVD M.P.), Jan Dirk Smit (former chairman of the HISWA Association), Michaël Steenhoff (Manager Yacht building HISWA Association) and Roel ter Heide (winner HISWA Excellence Award 2007).
The jury will announce the nominees during the ‘HISWA te water’ (2 – 7 September, Marina Seaport IJmuiden). Minister for Economic Affairs, Maria van der Hoeven, will present the award during the Maritime Awards Gala on 6 november in the World Forum Convention Center in The Hague. The winner receives a certificate, a sculpture and publicity in the Netherlands and abroad. In addition, for one year, the winner will be an ambassador for the HISWA Association.
Maritime Awards Gala
The HISWA Association takes part in the gala for the second time. Apart from the Excellence Award, the KNVTS Ship of the Year Award, the HME Maritime Innovation Award, the VNSI Timmers Award and the KVNR Award will also be presented.
