The project is meant to improve support from the shore for shortsea ships. Shipowners, captain-owners, suppliers and TNO unanimously agreed on creating this project during the seminar ‘shore engineer’ held on 7 May.
The project was received enthusiastically. Shipowners present immediately entered 25 ships. It is expected more will want to participate. The subject draws much attention and Shore Support proves Dutch maritime industry is willing to invest in cooperation and organizational innovations.
