IMC has won the Safety at Sea award for the Safe Winch. This winch guarantees safe towing by preventing both slack towropes and overload. IMC Corporate Licensing’s Markus van der Laan received the award on 21 April from Her Royal Heighness Princess Anne.
The Rotterdam based engineering company developed the Safe Winch together with Machine & Lierenfabriek, Sliedrecht. The concept was created from the DOT-system with a towing hook, developed by IMC and Mampaey, through adding a winch.
