Peter Tennfjord has requested to resign from his position as President at Aker Yards, Langsten. Steinar Nerbøvik (46) has been appointed new President at the yard in Tomrefjord, starting in August.
Nerbøvik has a long history from working in Aker Yards, and has been a part of the top management at the American shipyard Aker Philadelphia since. He holds a Master of Science in Ship Naval Engineering from NTNU in Trondheim, and was a naval architect at Aker Verdal and Aker Engineering. From 1991 to 2003 he was Design & Project Manager at Aker Yards, Langsten.
Peter Tennfjord has worked at Aker Yards for 27 years but says he is ready to take on new challenges. He may remain at Aker Yards and is discussing an alternative position in the corporation.
