Companies can now submit their newest products, services or processes in maritime industry to be nominated for the Maritime Innovation Award. Companies can send in their entries through the https://www.hme.nl/MIA/Default.aspx[HME] website. The winner will be announced during the Maritime Awards Gala on 6 November 2008 in The Hague.
To be considered for the award, the innovative product, service or company process has to:
– be put into practice
– be sold at least once to a relevant party
– have wide uses in maritime industry
– be marketable
– be suitable for export
In addition, every entry has to demonstrate Dutch added value.
The jury, nine experts from shipping and shipbuilding industry, maritime service providers and offshore and maritime research, will draw up a shortlist of nominations early September.
