Back in 2015, Damen Naval started preparations for what would become the largest contract ever for Dutch shipbuilding. With a contract value of around €4.5 billion, Damen Naval won this contract in June 2020. It concerns the development, construction and delivery of four large frigates, the F126-Class, for the German Navy.
Damen Naval’s Proposal Manager and Principal Architect, Dirk Bakker, will use the lecture to give an insight into the bidding process with the fierce competition, as well as discuss the technical and organisational challenges involved in this project.
