KNVTS lecture: Natural Shipping with EcoClipper

Ever wanted to become a shipping magnate? With current environmental crises and pressure on making the shipping industry emission free, not much chance to succeed… or? During this one hour presentation you are taken along in an “outside of the box” alternative for shipping: wind power.

Capt. Jorne Langelaan talks about his adventures on the high seas as a master of the engineless sailing cargo vessel: Tres Hombres. How he launched EcoClipper, a radical natural shipping company with the vision: to connect all continents with her wind powered ships. And you will learn why the choice has been made for “old school” proven technology. Spoiler alert: they also go with 21st century innovations.

Wednesday 19th of April you are invited to the IJ-kantine and learn about the most straightforward (read environmental) way of sea transport. You even have the opportunity to check out EcoClipper’s first sailing cargo vessel: De Tukker, which will be moored close by, before she sets sail for her maiden voyage to Portugal. And, at the end of the event, you will want to rethink if you could become a shipping magnate after all, by joining the EcoClipper cooperative.
