Joint lecture KNVTS/CEDA: Working together towards climate-neutral dredging

September 26

In this meeting, we have four lectures related to the theme of climate-neutral dredging.

They will talk about the Coastline Care and Fairway Maintenance transition path, in which a roadmap has been created to reduce emissions in dredging in the coming years. This has a number of already possible solutions, but also requires innovations.

Through the collaboration platform ZED hub, experiments are being conducted to further learn about innovative techniques in dredging. Two of these trials will be explained by member contractors. One pilot on hydrogen dredging and one on battery-electric solutions. And of course, the speakers will be open to questions, comments and discussion.

Programme:
15:30-16:00: reception and registration in the Rhine Foyer (bring ID required!)
16:00-18:00:

– transition path shoreline care and fairway maintenance – Edwin Hupkes (Port of – Rotterdam Authority)
– innovation platform Zero Emission Dredging hub – Arjen de Jong (ZED hub)
