AI Symposium for the Maritime sector
On 11 June 2026, NAIDATA hosts the first AI Symposium for the Maritime sector in the Northern Netherlands at Groningen Airport Eelde: “AI in de Maritieme Sector – Setting Course with AI.” An exclusive, intimate event for 75+ C-level decision makers from shipping companies, ports and maritime service providers.
Why now? While logistics and manufacturing go all-in on AI, maritime is still searching. Add the AI Act, mounting pressure on sustainability, and a generational divide where young professionals embrace AI as a given while experienced leaders hesitate — and you get an industry at a tipping point.
The programme cuts to the core. Understand the urgency: where does the sector truly stand on AI? Understand the legal landscape: Jos van der Wijst (BG Legal) on the AI Act translated into maritime practice. Connect the generations: a panel moderated by Bart van Bemmelen (KVNR) on how different generations embrace AI and what that means for your organisation. See a real case: Amke Euwes (NAIDATA) on claims and process optimisation. Honest insights on what worked and what did not. Leave with action: keynote by Alex van Ginneken, turning urgency into action. Chaired by Karin Staal. One of our first Community partners: KVNR. Not just theorists, but practitioners. More partners and speakers announced shortly.
