Van Halteren Technologies has taken over sister companies Mabotec BV and Hydroplus BV to expand its technological capabilities and the service offering of its Boxtel and Rotterdam operations. It is Van Halteren’s second takeover announcement in a week’s time.
Mabotec and Hydroplus operate within the fluid power industry. Mabotec designs and manufactures hydraulic manifolds weighing up to 10 tonnes, while Hydroplus specialises in the design, assembly, and testing of complete hydraulic manifold systems. Through their complementary expertise, the companies deliver advanced hydraulic solutions for a wide range of industrial applications.
“We are delighted to welcome Mabotec and Hydroplus to our organisation,’ states Van Halteren Technologies‘ management. ‘Their expertise in hydraulic manifolds perfectly complements our existing product and project portfolio. Together, we can offer our customers worldwide an even broader and stronger range of solutions. These acquisitions represent an important step in our growth strategy, and we look forward with great confidence to the promising future ahead.’

Growth for Boxtel and Rotterdam operations
The acquisitions align with the growth strategy of Van Halteren’s Boxtel and Rotterdam operations, which focuses on broadening technological expertise and strengthening customer support in the fields of heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders and electromechanical and electrohydraulic actuators (EMA/EHA). Mabotec and Hydroplus will retain their specialised expertise and way of working within the broader VHT organization.
Current employees of Mabotec and Hydroplus will remain part of the organisation, and all production facilities will continue operations. Over the coming period, the organisations will work together on a careful integration process, with a focus on continuity for customers and suppliers.

Second takeover in a week
Just last week, Van Halteren already announced another takeover. This one concerned the activities of Specken Techniek (also known as Specken Hydraulics). This company was considered complementary to Van Halteren’s existing operations in the field of hydraulic and electromechanical systems.
Specken Techniek specialises in hydraulic service, maintenance, and repair in the marine, offshore, and industrial sectors. Its services include the sale of hydraulic components and systems, inspections, testing, maintenance, emergency repair services, repairs, modifications, custom manufacturing, and test equipment. The company also operates a mobile workshop and provides worldwide service support.
